Frugal Tip #18

Oops I forgot to blog yesterday as I was so tired but here is number 18:

Frugal Tip #18 - Use Less

Basically if you use less then you have more remaining which will last you longer.
*Reduce your sugar in hot drinks by half a teaspoon each time until you get to as low as you think you can go then reduce it once more for a while longer and see if you can get used to it- you can always go back up to the more comfortable amount half a teaspoon up if you decide it's not for you.
*Use half the amount of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel etc that you normally use. Do this on a day that you're not going out so if you feel like it wasn't enough you can go back to your previous amount. On the next day you stay home decrease by just a quarter this time and see how you go.
*Try reducung the amount of washing powder/liquid you use. Most people find there's no difference and by doing so can make it last twice as long.
*Reduce the temperature on your washing machine to 30C for regular clothes. You might like to keep it slightly higher for whites, sheets and towels.
*Reduce car use - this will use less petrol/diesel.
*Ketchup etc. Put less on your plate, you can always squirt out more but you can't really scrape the unused sauce back into the bottle.

You can pretty much use this idea of using less with everything.
